October 2013

This month we met a week later, 26th October.  Julia kindly offered to do the demonstration this month and it was be a Christmas snowflake hanging card.

Once again we had a full house - and more - great to see.

This was made using the snowflake stamps and dies by Stampin' Up!  Julia had pre-cut most of the snowflakes for us already, which did make it a lot easier and I know everyone was happy about that.

Thank you Julia for volunteering once again.

September 2013

We all met up on 21st September and had twenty or so ladies again this month.  It was lovely to see you all and I know we all enjoyed seeing bit of the wedding that went on in the church - the bridges mother, possibly the groom and bestman, and some lovely bridesmaids.

Wendy had said she would do the demonstration this month, on foundation piecing in patchwork.
Wendy showed us all the principles of foundation piecing and then showed us how to either make a heart or Christmas tree.  Thank you very much Wendy, I know everyone enjoyed it and have heard from several people to say they were doing them.

I completed my christmas tree and made it into a card - so who knows who will get that one!!

August 2013

This month we met on 17th August and was once again very well attended.  Kathy kindly stepped in at the last minute to do this months demo.  This month it was an exploding box, also a twisted version, which I had never seen before.  Thank you Kathy for talking us all through it (and showing Shirley!!!!) excellent demo.

Well done Shirley!! You look really surprised.

Just so that Kathy know I did do a box a couple of days later!!

July 2013 Meeting

This month we met on Saturday 20th July.  Andree kindly volunteered to do the demonstration this month - A no-sew sewing bag.  Everyone seemed to enjoy this demo and I was very surprised that Julia and Emma both done one!!!  Well done to them and a big thank you to Andree for a brilliant demo.

June 2013 Meeting

This month we met on 15th June and had lots of ladies there again.  Great to see how everyone gets on so well - at one stage it was so noisy - as if!!!

Emma kindly done the demonstration this month - beaded animals.  They all looked so complicated and kept saying, they are easy, but once she showed us how to do them, it made more sense and were quite easy to do, but very effective.  Must admit there were lots of beads on the floor when we swept up!!!  Thank you very much for a brilliant demo Emma

I would also like to thank Emma, who has kindly been arranging a raffle for the past couple of months, and as everyone likes and enjoys this, will carry on every month - so a big thanks to Emma for this.

This month was held earlier this month and we had lots of people attending this month.  Thank you to Tina, for stepping in at the last minute and doing this months demonstration.  Tina showed us how to make a scrapbook page using some wonderful Stampin' Up! stamps and inks.  A few people done the scrapbook page, but most decided on cards - as you can see.

Thank you very much Tina

January 2013 meeting

First of all may I wish you all a very Happy New Year.  Also it is now 1 year since Crazy 4 Crafts began.  To celebrate we decided to have 'Bucks Fizz' instead of tea to start the day.  As it had been snowing Pete put the champagne in the snow just outside by the door to keep it cold.  Everyone walked straight past it on the way in and never noticed it!!!!

I know everyone enjoyed though - Happy Birthday!!!

This months meeting was held on Saturday 19th January and the demo was done by Julia.  She showed us how to do a special folded card, thank you very much Julia.

We had quite a good turnout, especially as it had been snowing quite a bit - well done to everyone that got there and thank you.

December's meeting

This was held on 15th December.   'Christmas Lunch'  A big thank you to everyone that came and for the wonderful collection of food everyone brought along.  We also had a Secret Santa Present and Secret Santa Card.  Everyone joined in and from the feedback, everyone enjoyed themselves (main thing!).  We also had a game of Craft Bingo - the line was won by Wendy H, and the full house jointly between Jill and Carol, who walked away with lots of crafty things!

I would like to say a big thank to Sandy, who said a couple of days before the meeting that she would show us a quick demo.  This was an angel made out of a paper plate!  Once again, something really quick and easy.  Sandy thought everyone would have seen or done them before, but not us!!

Also, Anne brought along a cross-stitch picture that she had done sometime ago, so we could all see it.  What an amazing piece of work.  You really do have to see it 'in the flesh' to really appreciate it, but this picture gives you a good idea!  Thank you Anne for sharing it with us.

May I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very healthy, wealthy and happy New Year.

Chrissie xx
